The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is supporting us in the modernization of our snowmaking facility!
The Domaine Des Planards constitutes the largest ski area in the Chamonix Valley dedicated to beginners and children.
Indeed, the Chamonix slopes are rightfully renowned for their high level of difficulty due to the towering mountains that overlook us.
Chamonix has only a few areas with a low gradient, more suitable for beginner skiers.
Another specificity of our resort is that our chairlift transports skiers to an altitude of 1242m from the start of a blue and red slope, approved by the FIS (International Ski Federation), which also hosts competitions and training sessions for our Chamonix competitors throughout the winter, and occasionally international podium stars.
Faced with an aging snowmaking system and unpredictable winters, the Planards resort must optimize its snowmaking system by replacing the current snowmakers with a state-of-the-art system guaranteeing the production of these essential crystals for welcoming our Piou Piou, Ourson, up to the best competitors.
The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region supports and accompanies us in this project through a grant covering the equipment necessary for snowmaking production.
We are very grateful and sincerely thank them for their assistance!
